1. Facebook's topping the list. One can stay a full 24 hours in front of the computer by just using Facebook. How about in the office? Productivity level - negative.
2. Youtube is definitely an addiction. Watching music videos, movie clips, funny and viral videos, name it. Who would rather spend his/her time more on papers than relaxing in front of a youtube ready screen? Anyone?
3. Other networking sites such as Twitter, Tumblr, Plurk, Multiply, Myspace, etc. Same reason with facebook usage.
4. Gaming sites. About 80% of employees love to play computer games. Just stick to solitaire and minesweeper guys.
5. Porn sites. No explanation needed. Simply prohibited.
Of course, many friends would complain to you. They'll put on their puppy eyes just to unblock their favorite sites in their computers. Hell no. I refuse to do so. I couldn't even imagine the consequences if I let them use facebook and other sites. I don't wanna lose my job please.
There are other instances that some employees could surpass this massive internet block-out. One would simply request from the boss that they need this and that for working purposes. Maybe for marketing, advertising, etc. Okaaaaaaaaaay... Wish granted, with the ICT boss.
But most of the time when I pass along the corridor, the facebook site's just being browsed for a long time, watching videos in youtube, waiting updates from twitter. Facepalm. What can I do? I'm just following orders here.
But what could be the main reasons why these sites are blocked?
1. Work Productivity. 'nuff said.
2. Fast Internet connection and Bandwidth. Imagine if every single computer's loading / buffering a youtube video? Everyone's on facebook?
3. The office is a working place, not a computer shop.
I'm done here. I'm not giving you any proxy sites / private browser. lol

Sa company namin walang naka-block na sites so minsan UNLISURF talaga kami pero hinay hinay pa rin kasi nakakahiya mahuli LOL
